Cobee

Cobee is an online platform that provides companies with systems that automate and simplify the management of employee benefit packages. The company also offers incentives for increased employee satisfaction like additional benefits and flexible compensation. 

Madrid-based Cobee is a stand-out in the top startups because it also aids in cost reduction, cutting out intermediaries and third parties. The company received a vote of confidence from investors last week in a Series B round of €40 Million led by Octopus Ventures and Notion Capital. 

Cobee, which tripled its sales this year, will use its latest funding to grow its market presence in Spain, and Portugal plus begin expansion into new markets like México. A solidifying investment for a company on a fast-paced growth journey!

Series C 

Modern Milkman

Modern Milkman, as the name says, is an updated milkman service with the objective to reduce waste by creating a return-and-reuse grocery home delivery service. Delivering milk, and other groceries to consumers’ doors in reusable containers or recyclable packaging. 

The company has a deep connection to its ecological objective and aims to change the way customers look at groceries, choosing fresh, sustainable and local over other choices. Its service has taken off with considerable force and now it can add a  £50 Million investment to boost led Insight Partners and ETF Partners. 

Manchester-based Modern Milkman will use funds to increase research and development to turn its conscious grocery delivery into a leader in the UK. The type of innovative but value-driven idea that makes for an amazing top startups story!

PhotoRoom

PhotoRoom is an AI-powered image editing app that allows users to quickly create studio-quality images in just seconds. The app brings professional-level edits closer to everyday users, permitting things like background removal and more. 

The free app just received a $19 million Series A round investment, led by Balderton Capita. PhotoRoom has over 40 million downloads and is set on becoming a leader in its markets, processing over 3 million images per day and still growing. 

Paris-based PhotoRoom will use funds to improve AI technology and hire more talent across Europe. We can’t wait for this picture-perfect growth journey!

Diffblue

Diffblue is a developer of software for writing software. The company’s first product, Diffblue Cover, is an automatic Java code test generator that helps development teams create higher-quality software, more effectively and faster. 

Oxford-based Diffblue already has an impressive client list including Amazon and Goldman Sachs among others. Recently the company secured an additional $8 Million in Series A funding, bringing its total to $35.1 M. 

The software company will use new funds to expand operations. Tools for developers and tech creators are on the rise and offer diverse opportunities for innovation. Diffblue created a standout first product and has all the ingredients for continued success.

Volta Trucks

Volta Trucks is an electric vehicle company that develops and produces electric trucks for sustainable cities. The company is creating purpose-built vehicles aimed at urban necessities and reducing carbon emissions. 

Swedish Volta Trucks, which already has hundreds of orders for its trucks, secured a $60 Million Series C round just last week, bringing its total funding to over $360 Million. Plus, it has partnered with Siemens in order to fast-track its commercial fleet electrification.  

Volta Trucks are sleek, made for the city trucks ushering in a new type of urban freight option that is sure to take off as one of the top startups in its field! 

I-ROX

I-Rox a collaborative company formed by BEV-E and I-Pulse is a mining technology project. Its aim is to demonstrate the mining capabilities of short bursts of high-intensity pulses to efficiently shatter minerals and rocks.

Toulouse-based I-rox received €12 million in funding led by Breakthrough Energy Ventures-Europe. The funds will go fully to research and developments on mining-grade pulse technology. This tech could significantly reduce mining times, energy usage, carbon emissions and costs. 

There are not many details available about I-ROX. However, this show of confidence from investors and the fact that two industry leaders are behind its creation is a great sign that a lot can be expected from its innovative approach to mining.
