Peter Zuyderduyn
General Manager, EMEA

As General Manager EMEA, Peter is responsible for driving the company’s strategic expansion in the EMEA markets.

Peter brings over 17 years’ experience in the consulting and technology field to Databook. Most recently, he served as the Strategy Managing Director and Partner at Accenture, where he led strategy and consulting work for Communications, High Tech/Industrial & Software/Platform companies. As part of Peter’s expansive leadership background, he served as President of Accenture’s Strategy Inclusion team and also participated on Accenture’s Netherland’s Strategy Leadership Board.

In addition, Peter contributed to several publications at Accenture including the High Performance Business studies for three consecutive years. Next to his client responsibilities, Peter was responsible for the Amsterdam Innovation Centre and Value Office, and served as an Accenture Teaching faculty member.

Senior Software Engineer – CRM Integration (Salesforce)
Full Time • Remote in North America, South America or Europe

The Opportunity

We’re hiring Senior Engineers to drive the development and continual innovation of Databook’s CRM solution.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Owning the full engineering lifecycle of important capabilities within the Databook platform, including designing, prototyping, building and maintaining scalable and performant distributed systems.
  • Engaging with colleagues across the organization to understand requirements and ensure that our technology meets those requirements in practice.
  • Participating in the hiring process and mentoring other engineers on the team.

About You

  • You have expertise in implementing CRM integration with Salesforce (Apex, LWC)
  • You have experience developing with Apex (classes and triggers) to extend Salesforce in order to support business requirements.
  • You have experience using Salesforce APIs to integrate with other systems
  • You have 5+ years of hands-on professional experience working with backend systems, services and practical APIs
  • You have a solid understanding of asynchronous programming methodology using modern JavaScript (e.g. Promises, async/await, RxJS)
  • You have experience interfacing and integrating with all kinds of SQL (Postgres) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases
  • You are a true team player.  You love working as part of a team.  You’re a strong communicator and you enjoy collaborating with, learning from, and teaching others so we can all become better developers.  People love working with you because you help them up their game.
Senior Software Engineer, Frontend
Full Time • Remote in North America, South America or Europe

The Opportunity

As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Databook, you will help improve the overall customer experience. If you have a solutions-oriented mindset, a strong sense of ownership and are excited about finding creative solutions to complex problems, this is the role for you!

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead implementation of new UX initiatives to support the architecture decision and vision.
  • Ensure coding standards and architecture guidelines are respected and web applications meet scalability requirements.
  • Research, experiment with various technologies, and provide recommendations.
  • Advocate for improvements to product experience, quality, security, and performance.

About You

  • 3+ years of experience in front-end web development of large scale applications
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and React. Node.js, Redux or similar modern technologies
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL
  • Experience building reusable components

Senior Software Engineer, Backend – Python
Full Time • Remote in North America, South America or Europe

The Opportunity

We’re hiring Senior Backend Engineers to lead the development and maintenance of Databook’s core platform.

Specifically, you’ll be in charge of:

  • Owning the full engineering lifecycle of important capabilities within the Databook platform, including designing, prototyping, building and maintaining scalable and performant distributed systems.
  • Collaborating with (i) our machine learning teams to incorporate our ML assets into the core platform, and (ii) our front-end teams to ensure that we deliver powerful abstractions to our client platforms.
  • Engaging with colleagues across the organization to understand requirements and ensure that our technology meets those requirements in practice.
  • Hiring new engineers and mentoring other engineers in the team.

About You

  • 5+ years of hands-on professional experience developing backend systems, services and practical APIs
  • Expertise in backend development using Python, with 3+ years of demonstrable experience developing production level applications.
  • Solid understanding of building and integrating new microservices into existing cloud infrastructures.
  • Solid experience reading, building, and manipulating JSON data structures
  • Solid Experience with unit and integration testing and CICD workflow
